A:Why are you so late back? You look so tired. What have you been doing?

A:你怎么回来这么晚?还特疲惫。你干嘛去了?

B:I caught a thief.

B:我抓了一个小偷。

A:Oh, congratulations! But what happened?

A:哦，恭喜啊!怎么回事儿?

B:I went to the street market with Kitty today. I bought some T-shirts and she was going to buy some books. Then we went to a book stall and had a browse, but she didn't find any book that interested her. So we left and went to the bus station. Then I couldn't find my purse which has my bus IC card inside.

B:今天我和Kitty 一起去逛街边市场，我买了几件T恤，她想买些书。然后我们就去书店随便逛逛，但并没有发现她感兴趣的书。于是我们就走了，去车站等车。但我却找不到我的钱包，我的公交卡也放在里面。

A:Oh, that's awful.

A:天哪!太糟糕了。

B:Yes, so I tried to remember when I had it last. Before I went to the book stall, my purse was still there. And when we were looking at books, both of us bent down, and I put my bag on my back.

A:So what happened next?

B:Since he managed to steal my purse he would probably try for another one too. So we wandered about and looked for him. And finally I saw him nearby.

A:So you grabbed hold of him?

B:Yes.

A:You helped a policeman to catch a thief. That really impresses me.
