An Inspiration to Me

My neighbor lives across from me and is in her early nineties. She stoppeddriving a couple of years ago. My neighbor is very independent and doesn't wantany favors unless it's absolutely necessary. She takes the bus to the shoppingmall and sometimes to the grocery store.

My neighbor lives alone and has many hobbies. She crochets, knits, sews, paints,makes her own Christmas cards and gifts to give to her family, and bakes goodiesto hand out to the neighbors at Christmas time.

She works in her little garden that's in front of and on the side of herapartment. She's planted many varieties of beautiful flowers and definitely hasa green thumb. She cuts and gives her flowers to the neighbors around herbecause she likes to share them. I’ve been given flowers from her garden manytimes.

She has a giving heart and is a very special person. She's always busy. I tellher she needs time out for a vacation, and she laughs every time I say that. Myneighbor has some medical problems and had a few minor surgeries but she keepson going .
