英语陈述句与疑问句有什么区别


陈述句即用陈述语气叙述或说明事理的句子。一般常用的句子多为陈述句。陈述句有肯定、否定和双重否定三种形式。


修辞疑问句有两种形式:设问句和反问句。设问和反问从形式上看虽然都是疑问句.但实际上都是无疑而问,也可叫做明知故问。


这两种句式的表现形式和修辞特点各不相同。


设问句往往用在一个句群或段落的前面,先引起读者的注意,启发他们的思考.然后再回答问题阐述自己的看法。有的文章.往往一开头就用统摄全篇的设问来引起读者对全篇主题的注意和思索,随后做出回答.这比一般的平板叙述观点较有吸引力。例如:


With all the possible benefits of vitamin C, should you be swallowingascorbic-acid pills by the handful? Definitely not,say many doctors.

Whal,after all.is the kind of college students that we want to bring upand out? If they go and teach themselves, what do you want teachers for anymore? I should say teachers' vital role is teaching in such a way as to providestudents with a key to the treasure house of knowledge-not to turn their brainsinto mere receptacles. Teachers' work is primanly to prompt students to think forthemselves, to practise, to experiment in order to get hold of knowledge. Moreimportantly, teachers should encourage their students to come up withcontradictory opinions at academic discussions, to thrash out problems forthemselves,and to draw conclusions of their own. It is not by any manner ofmeans a teacher's monopoly.


我们到底要培养什么样的大学生?按我们现在的培养方式,这些学生走出校门后能在色彩纷繁、瞬息万变的当今世界站住脚吗?在我看来,我们首先要启发学生的学习兴趣和主动性.培养他们自学的能力。


那么都“自学“.还要老师干什么?我想,教师要给学生的,是一把开启知识宝库的钥匙,而不是把学生的脑子变成一个容器。教师的工作是启发学生通过自己的思考、实践、试脸去求得知识。更重要的足.教师应鼓助学生大胆提出提问和不同意见.经过研讨.得出自己的结论,而不是由教师包办代替。

反问是用疑问的句式表示确定的意思.在意义L相当十一个陈述句;从语气上看.反问句比陈述句语气更为强烈一反问所表达的意思.跟它的表面形式正好相反:即肯定的形式表示否定的意思,否定的形式则表W.肯定的意思例如:


Are you in your senses?(=You are not in your senses.)你神志正常吗?


Do you have any right to use this room?(=You don't have any right touse this room.)你有什么权利使用这个房间?


Who would have believed it to be true?(=Nobody believed it to he true.)有谁能相信这是真的?


Who among us has not dreamed of that?(=Everybody has dreamed ofthat.)我们中问有谁没有梦想过这个见?


The Master said: "Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance andapplication? Is it not pleasant to have friends coming from distant quarters?(=Itis pleasant to... It is pleasant to...)子曰:“学而时习之.不亦说乎,有朋自远方来.不亦乐乎"
